Initial Report:
The corpse was found in a Mr. ██████ Smith's field by an unknown migrant worker. Mr. Smith was taken into custody by local police. The corpse was exhumed and taken to ██████, Idaho, the county seat to be examined by the county Coroner.
You may think you're safe, but really, they trying to control everything you know.
Autopsy report showed that the Corpse was unrecognizable until referenced with local dental records. Large amounts of vegetable matter were contained within the flesh of the body and the flesh seemed to be undergoing rapid deterioration. Reference to dental records show that the corpse was one ███████ Rigby, age █, who had disappeared from working in his father's fields six years prior. The corpse was noted to be dry, but in rather good shape when initially exhumed, unlike its currently deteriorated state.
After this was found, a trial was held and Mr. Smith was convicted with murder, despite a not guilty plea and insubstantial evidence. The execution was held two days after the conviction.
It's only a matter of time before they forget that they were meant to guard us.
One week after Mr. Smith's execution, Mr. Robert J. Langley, the County Coroner was unable to be found and was declared to be missing. Soon afterward, those who helped exhume the corpse subsequently were declared missing as well. Officer K███ Clark found the body of Mr. Langley in the late Mr. Smith's field. At this time our agency was contacted by State authorities.
Object Details:
Name: Solanum tuberosum belladonna, "Strangler Potato"
Class: Non-sentient Thanatatron 3
Contact Procedures: Avoid contact with bare skin, remove any possible sprouts by scalding with boiling water or diluted acid if available. Handle with care. All bodies infected by Object 038-1 are to be burned immediately and not allowed to replant themselves. Any specimens seen outside the K███████ Facility are to be reported immediately and then destroyed by any means possible.
Do you really think they'd just give it up?
Within the K███████ Facility, Object 038-2 is only to be interacted with inside rooms under 32⁰F (0⁰C). Do not consume any of Object 038-2, this is irreversible and will result in swift death.
Description: S. tuberosum belladonna appears to be a heretofore unknown subspecies of potato. Crudely called the "Smith Strangler" by some in our agency, the Strangler Potato was localized to █████, Idaho and ██████, Idaho before all known specimens were either destroyed or relocated by our agency to the K███████ Facility. The plant of this species is classified as Object 038-1.
The Strangler Potato appears to be a group of normal potato plants until one interacts with them. Upon further interaction, one finds that all potatoes grown by S. tuberosum belladonna are grown within the body of an animal of some sort, typically a human, as humans are the main consumer of potatoes, though all Strangler Potatoes grown at the K███████ Facility are planted using bovine livestock, with the exception of Experiment K-038-1-0012.
Any actual potatoes produced by an S. tuberosum belladonna plant are classified as Object 038-2. All known specimens are to be kept within the cold rooms and under temperatures of 32⁰F (0⁰C). In the event that any potatoes escape, contact the K███████ Destruction and Removal Squad
immediately, and submit yourself to a bath of diluted Thiosulfuric acid.
